What I use to sketch:
- 10.5″ iPad Pro
- Apple Pencil (although I used my finger for the first 7 months of my 2017 sketchaday project!)
- This is the case I have on my iPad: BRAECN 360 Degree Swivel Stand/Hand Strap and Shoulder Strap Case
- I highly recommend using a screen protector that has a paper feel. The one I use is: KAIZEN Paper iPad Pro 10.5” Screen Protector
- The app Procreate (iOS only)
- Inspiration by looking at lots of clip art via Google Images, Pinterest, the Noun Project, and more.
- Also fueling my inspiration are the sketches of talented folks like:
- Everyone on the #Sketch50 Twitter hashtag
- Sylvia Duckworth
- Sunni Brown
- Cate Tolnai
- and more I will add later 🙂

I’ve taken to making Procreate brushes, mostly of objects I sketch and may want to continue to use. You can find these brushes / stamps here: bit.ly/wandasbrushes. Did you know it is possible to import ALL 1,000+ brushes at one time? Check out this post on the Procreate Forums!
Want to make your own brushes? Check out the sketch below and the accompanying video walkthrough by Cate Tolnai.
